Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren Accuses Opposition of Hindering Development Efforts
Hemant Soren is the leader of a state in India called Jharkhand.
He gave a speech to remember a brave leader named Nirmal Mahato.
Nirmal Mahato was the president of a political party called the JMM.
He was sadly shot and killed in 1987 while fighting for the rights of tribal people.
Soren said tribal warriors struggled for many years so that Jharkhand could become its own state in 2000.

He said his government aims to fulfil the aspirations and protect the rights of the state's 3.25 crore people.
