Shivakumar Promises Woman Minister, Defends Nagendra and Outlines Karnataka Agenda
Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar said his government will soon add a woman minister.
He said B Nagendra was brought back into the Cabinet after a report said Nagendra was not involved in the Valmiki Corporation money case.
Shivakumar said most of the money involved had been recovered.
He also said Karnataka would follow the Supreme Court’s instructions about sharing Cauvery water with Tamil Nadu.
He disagreed with increasing the number of Lok Sabha seats through delimitation because he said southern states could lose influence.
The government plans more flyovers and tunnels to help Bengaluru traffic.
It also wants to create 10,000 youth clubs for sports, culture and social activities.
Shivakumar said eligible people would be helped during the review of electoral rolls.
He predicted that Congress would perform strongly in future Karnataka elections.
