Court Puts ₹31 Lakh Of DAVV Funds On Hold

A court is considering an old disagreement involving workers at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya.

The disagreement is about provident fund payments and salaries.

Workers from several university departments took the matter to court.

The case has been continuing for about 15 years.

The Jabalpur High Court ordered that about ₹31 lakh connected to the university’s Institute of Management Studies be put on hold.

The bank told university officials that it had followed the order.

University registrar Prajwal Khare said related provident fund cases are still pending.

The university will decide its next steps based on the court’s directions.
