China Surpasses India in Emerging Market Ranking
In September, China took the lead in the Emerging Markets ranking, pushing India to second place.
This ranking, created by Mint, looks at how different countries' economies are doing each month using things like growth and trade.
China did well because its stock market grew, it exported a lot, and had a high import cover, which measures how many months of imports the country can pay for.
India's growth was good, but its stock market didn't do as well, and its currency weakened.
Brazil came in third, helped by its currency's strong performance.
The rankings use data to give a quick look at how economies are doing.
China secured the top position in Mint's Emerging Markets (EM) Tracker for September.
India fell to second place due to a weaker rupee and subdued stock market.
China's strong performance was supported by gains in the stock market and export growth.
India's GDP grew at 7.8% in the June quarter, but its stock market rose only 0.5%.
Brazil secured the third rank with strong currency performance.
