Tripura Felicitates Judoka Asmita Dey with Rs 10 Lakh, Land
A young woman named Asmita Dey won a gold medal in judo at the Commonwealth Games.
Judo is a sport where you try to throw or pin your opponent on the mat.
She is the first judoka from India to ever win gold at this big sporting event.
Asmita won the women's under-48-kilogram title by beating a judoka from Canada named Heidi Quach in a tense extra period called a Golden Score.
Her family's story is special because her father ran a small bicycle repair shop in the village of Sonaichari, and he passed away a few years ago.
