Manus AI Resumes Independence After China Blocks Meta's $2B Deal

Manus AI Resumes Independence After China Blocks Meta's $2B Deal

Meta is a very big technology company.

It wanted to buy a smaller company called Manus for about $2 billion.

Manus makes smart computer helpers called AI agents.

These helpers can do tasks on their own, without a person telling them every step.

But the government of China said the deal was not allowed.

So the two companies have to break up their deal, and Manus will become its own company again.

Some people who use Manus may need to save copies of their information, because some old data will be deleted.

Countries like China and the United States are being more careful about AI deals between companies in different countries.

Meta's boss, Mark Zuckerberg, wrote that AI should be shared openly so everyone can use it, but other companies keep their AI secret.
