Nadda Defends Police Action at CPI(M) Office
In the Rajya Sabha, J.P. Nadda, the Leader of the House, defended the police action at the CPI(M) office in Delhi.
The police had gone to arrest Aishe Ghosh, a student leader, for her involvement in protests.
The opposition, including John Brittas and Mallikarjun Kharge, criticized the police action, calling it unjustified and intimidating.
Nadda, however, said it was a normal law and order activity and that the opposition was politicizing the issue.
He also mentioned that he had been arrested during the Emergency when he was a student activist.
The House was adjourned till noon due to the heated exchanges and sloganeering.
