Siemens Sept Quarter Net Profit Declines 7% Amid Revenue Growth
Siemens, a company that makes industrial equipment and technology, had a bit of a mixed quarter.
While they sold more products and services than last year, making ₹5,171 crore in revenue, their profit actually went down by 7%.
This happened because last year they had a special one-time profit from selling a property, which made their profit look higher then.
This year, they didn't have that special boost.
Their sales were strong in areas like trains and smart buildings, but sales were a bit slower in digital technology because of fewer large orders from the past and less spending by private companies.
Even though profits dipped slightly compared to last year's special circumstances, the company is happy with how much more they sold overall.
Siemens reported a 7% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to ₹485 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025.
Revenue from operations increased by 16% to ₹5,171 crore during the same period.
The profit decline was attributed to a one-time gain of ₹69 crore from a property sale in Q4 FY2024 impacting the prior year's comparison.
Strong performance in mobility and smart infrastructure businesses drove revenue growth.
Digital Industries volumes were impacted by lower order backlog reach and muted private sector capital expenditure.
