India-Canada Explore Energy Investment Opportunities
India and Canada had a meeting to talk about working together in the energy sector.
Canada wants to sell more liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and crude oil to India.
India, which is a big user of oil and gas, is looking for investments worth $500 billion to improve its energy infrastructure.
Both countries agreed to cooperate more on clean energy technologies like hydrogen, biofuels, and sustainable aviation fuel.
They also want to work together on things like battery storage, critical minerals, and using artificial intelligence in the energy sector.
This meeting is important because it could lead to more trade and investment between the two countries.
India and Canada discussed deepening bilateral energy trade during India Energy Week 2026.
Canada aims to supply LNG, LPG, and crude oil to India in exchange for refined petroleum products.
India highlighted a $500 billion investment opportunity in its energy sector.
Both countries agreed to collaborate on clean energy technologies, including hydrogen and biofuels.
