Mizoram Intensifies Efforts to Establish State Oil Depot

Mizoram Intensifies Efforts to Establish State Oil Depot

Mizoram wants to build an oil depot in the state.

An oil depot is a place where large amounts of fuel can be stored.

Most of Mizoram’s fuel currently comes from Assam.

Petrol stations in Mizoram can keep only about a week’s supply.

Chief Minister Lalduhoma led a meeting about the project.

Officials are looking for land that meets Indian Oil Corporation Limited’s requirements.

They will ask the central government and the North Eastern Council for help.

They will also visit nearby states to learn how their oil depots work.
