J&K Recruitment Agencies Collected Rs 114 Crore as Vacancies Dipped

Jammu and Kashmir has two government agencies that announce jobs and run recruitment exams.

People applying for these exams paid a total of Rs 114 crore in fees over three years.

The government shared this information in the Assembly.

The number of jobs advertised by the Public Service Commission went down over the reported years.

The number advertised by the SSB first went up, then fell.

Both agencies advertised fewer jobs in 2025-26 than in 2024-25.

The report says the decline came after Omar Abdullah’s government took office in October 2024.
