School seniors accused of gang-rape in Narendrapur

Two teenage girls were allegedly gang-raped and molested by six men, including two of their school seniors, in Narendrapur.

The girls knew the men for years and trusted them, which is why they accepted a bike ride from them.

The men took the girls to a friend's garage and then to a rented apartment where the incident occurred.

The girls were prevented from leaving and one of them was gang-raped while the other was molested and forced to strip.

The men also allegedly videographed the second girl.

The girls recorded their statements in court and the six men are now in police remand.

The police have noted that in many recent cases, the accused were known to the victims.
