Punjab Launches Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna
The Punjab government has started a new health plan called Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna.
This plan will give free medical treatment up to Rs 10 lakh to every family in the state.
All 65 lakh families in Punjab can use this plan if they have an Aadhaar card and a voter card.
The plan covers over 2,500 medical procedures in both government and private hospitals.
Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann launched this plan.
They also talked about setting up 1,000 mohalla clinics and hiring 1,100 doctors in the past four years.
They said this plan is a big step for healthcare in Punjab.
However, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has accused the AAP government of misleading the public.
They say the scheme actually provides only Rs 1 lakh in medical insurance and that the government has spent crores on advertising without actually implementing the scheme.
The SAD also mentioned that Mohalla Clinics face a shortage of doctors and that the government has defaulted on payments under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
