Delhi Hosts 'Worlds Within Cloth' Handloom Exhibition
Delhi is opening a big handloom exhibition called 'Worlds Within Cloth' from August 6 to 19.
It will be held in a hall at the National Crafts Museum.
The event will show many modern textile artists and designers who use handlooms in new ways.
The exhibition starts with a ceremony led by the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, and the Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles will be the chief guest.
People can visit the exhibition every day from 11 a.m.
to 6 p.m.
It is part of the celebrations for the 12th National Handloom Day on August 7, which honors handloom weaving in India.
Exhibition 'Worlds Within Cloth: New Orders of Woven Making' opens Aug 6–19 at Virasat Hall, National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy, New Delhi.
Inaugurated by Development Commissioner (Handlooms) with Secretary Neelam Shami Rao as chief guest.
Curated by Sreyansi Singh, featuring contemporary textile artists, designers, and craft collectives.
Open to public 11 a.m.–6 p.m., part of celebrations for the 12th National Handloom Day on Aug 7.
Showcases research-driven works exploring social, historical, and cultural contexts of handloom traditions.
