Neotia Sees Bengal Investment Optimism Amid Calls for Easier Clearances

Harshavardhan Neotia thinks more people are becoming hopeful about investing in Bengal.

He said new government and private infrastructure projects could help the state attract money.

Possible Adani Group projects include improvements to Kumortuli Ghat and Writers’ Buildings, plus a large hospital in New Town.

Neotia said businesses face delays because they must get many permissions one after another.

He wants one faster system for approving projects.

He also said land rules should be reviewed so companies can obtain land more easily.

Neotia believes Bengal could grow in technology, artificial intelligence, robotics, biotechnology and tourism.

He said better infrastructure might encourage workers in other Indian cities to return to Bengal.
