Wipro GE Healthcare Launches AI-Powered MR Imaging System in India
Wipro GE Healthcare, a company that makes medical technology, has launched a new machine called SIGNA™ Prime Elite in India.
This machine takes pictures inside the body using something called MR imaging.
It's special because it uses artificial intelligence (AI) to make the pictures clearer and faster.
The machine is made in India and is designed to help doctors find health problems earlier, especially diseases that are not contagious, like heart disease or cancer.
It's also designed to be more comfortable for patients and uses less power and helium, making it more environmentally friendly.
The company plans to invest a lot of money in making more of these machines in India over the next five years.
Wipro GE Healthcare launched the SIGNA™ Prime Elite MR imaging system at the IRIA 2026 Annual Conference in Hyderabad.
The system is manufactured in India and combines advanced imaging intelligence with patient-centric design.
SIGNA™ Prime Elite offers faster scan times, sharper image clarity, and improved diagnostic confidence using AI-powered technologies.
The system achieves up to 37% reduction in table time and reduces helium use by up to 75%, making it more sustainable.
Wipro GE Healthcare plans to invest over INR 8000 Crores in manufacturing and local R&D over the next five years.
