Trump Threatens Tariffs Over Greenland
President Trump wants to buy Greenland, which is currently part of Denmark.
He says it's important for America's safety.
Because Denmark and other European countries don't want to sell Greenland, Trump is going to put extra taxes (tariffs) on their goods.
This means things from those countries might cost more in America.
Many people in Greenland and Denmark are protesting.
They don't want to be part of the United States.
They say Greenland belongs to Greenlanders.
European leaders are also upset and are having an emergency meeting to talk about what to do.
Some people in the US Congress think Trump's idea is not a good one and are visiting Denmark to show support.
President Trump plans to impose 10% tariffs on eight NATO allies starting February, increasing to 25% by June over Greenland.
