Security tightened as Jharkhand students plan CM residence siege

Students in Jharkhand, India, are upset about two government exams — the JPSC and JSSC recruitment tests.

They believe there were problems, like questions leaking, which made the exams unfair.

The students have been protesting at a big stadium for almost 20 days.

They want the government to bring in a special agency called the CBI to investigate.

The government says it has agreed to nearly 90 per cent of what the students asked for.

But it has not agreed to the CBI investigation, so the protest continues.

The students now plan to gather near the Chief Minister's house on August 20.

Police have put up barricades and added more than 100 extra officers to keep everyone safe.

Earlier this month, police used water cannons and tear gas when students went near the state assembly.

The students say they will keep protesting until the government takes a concrete decision.
