CPI-M Gets Wary Over Leaks Ahead of Crucial Kerala Meeting

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Kerala is worried that private party talks are being shared outside the organisation.

Reports say some leaders in Thiruvananthapuram were asked to sign forms allowing the party to obtain their telephone call details.

The party may use this information to find out where leaks come from.

Leaders have also been warned that leaking discussions could bring punishment.

This is happening before an important three-day meeting in Kozhikode.

The meeting will discuss the party’s serious defeat in the 2026 Assembly election.

Some members think checking phone records is an unusual step.

They may ask senior leaders to review the decision.
