Jaishankar Says Terror Concerns Strain India-US Relationship

India’s foreign minister, S Jaishankar, discussed India’s relationship with the United States.

He said terrorism linked to Pakistan is one of India’s biggest concerns.

India believes this problem has continued for many years.

Jaishankar said the United States does not always show enough understanding of this concern.

He said this can make cooperation between India and the United States more difficult.

The two countries have also disagreed over trade, tariffs and other issues.

The United States has recently increased its engagement with Pakistan, which India views as especially sensitive.

Jaishankar said better understanding could help the relationship improve.
