Hlynur Pálmason’s ‘Joan Of Arc’ Acquired Globally
Hlynur Pálmason, an Icelandic director, made a short film called 'Joan of Arc'.
It's about three siblings who build and destroy a knight-like figure with arrows.
The film was shown at a big movie event in San Sebastian.
Now, a company called New Europe Film Sales has sold the rights to show this film in many countries, including the USA, UK, Spain, Italy, and Poland.
The film was made at the same time as another movie called 'The Love That Remains', and they share some similar ideas.
Pálmason says that watching both films together can be interesting, but 'Joan of Arc' can also be enjoyed on its own.
Hlynur Pálmason’s 62-minute film 'Joan of Arc' has been acquired for North America, UK, Spain, Italy, and Poland.
The film premiered at the San Sebastian festival earlier this year.
It follows three siblings who repeatedly build and destroy a knight-like figure with arrows.
The film was conceived and produced alongside Pálmason’s family drama 'The Love That Remains', which is Iceland’s entry for the 98th Academy Awards.
All the buyers of 'Joan of Arc' also hold rights to 'The Love That Remains'.
