Boland on Bowling with Keeper Up
Scott Boland is a fast bowler from Australia.
He is playing in the Ashes series against England.
In the past, he took many wickets, but this time, he is using a new plan.
His coach suggested that he should bowl with the wicket-keeper standing close to the stumps.
This way, the English batters can't move around as much.
Boland says he wasn't sure about this plan at first, but now he sees how it helps.
He thinks it makes the batters stay in one place, so he can bowl better.
He has taken 11 wickets in this series so far.
Scott Boland has taken 11 wickets in the 2023 Ashes series.
He previously took 18 wickets in the 2019 Ashes series.
Boland started the 2023 Ashes with no wickets but took four in the second innings of the Perth Test.
He is using a new strategy of bowling with the wicket-keeper up to the stumps.
This strategy was suggested by his coach, Andrew McDonald, to limit the batters' movement.
