China Lands Rocket Booster, Narrowing Gap With SpaceX
China has landed a rocket booster after launching it.
This was the first time China achieved this, according to the article.
A booster is part of a rocket that helps lift a spacecraft.
Usually, rocket parts are used once and then discarded.
Reusable rockets can fly again after landing safely.
Reusing them can make space launches less expensive.
SpaceX and Blue Origin have already been recovering rocket stages since 2015.
China is working to narrow the gap with those companies.
