Kerala Parties Welcome Vigilance Probe Into Gyanesh Kumar-Linked Cases

Kerala’s ruling and opposition parties both welcomed a new investigation.

It concerns allegations connected to a road-building project and the 2006 death of engineer Lee See Been.

The project was managed by a joint venture called PATI-BEL.

The engineer reportedly made complaints and left a note before dying by suicide in Malaysia.

An investigation was ordered in 2006, but it did not move forward, according to the report.

The new probe was ordered by Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala.

MK Muneer said the engineer’s death deserves a full investigation.

He also said old cases against him were politically motivated and dismissed by a court.

M V Govindan said all cases involving Gyanesh Kumar in Keralam should be examined.
