Madhya Pradesh Milk and Cotton Sellers Protest Falling Prices

Madhya Pradesh Milk and Cotton Sellers Protest Falling Prices

Milk sellers in Susner stopped working because they want to be paid more for milk.

They are asking for ₹100 per litre instead of ₹60.

They also want the milk-fat rate to be ₹12.

The strike has made milk harder to find in the town and nearby areas.

Some videos showed milk being poured onto roads, but the amount was not confirmed.

In Bhikangaon, the new cotton-selling season started with a bid of ₹9,011 per quintal.

Later bids went as low as ₹6,000, which upset the farmers.

The farmers protested at the market office.

The auction later started again after market workers stepped in.
