Amazon's Project Kuiper Plans Satellite Internet Rollout
Imagine Amazon is building a giant network of satellites in space to bring the internet to everyone, kind of like how your phone gets a signal.
They plan to launch internet service in the US, Canada, France, Germany, and the UK by early 2026.
They'll have over 200 satellites in orbit by the end of 2025.
Eventually, they hope to cover the entire world, even the North and South Poles, by 2028 or 2029.
JetBlue will be using the satellite network for Wi-Fi on its airplanes starting in 2027.
Amazon wants to offer affordable internet, and plans to compete with existing satellite internet providers.
