Omar Abdullah: Hopes Dim for J&K Statehood Restoration

Omar Abdullah, the leader of Jammu and Kashmir, is getting less hopeful about getting the state's special status back.

He says it's taking too long.

He says that the current government setup, where J&K is a Union Territory, has problems.

He wants to talk about getting statehood back but can't because the Speaker won't let it be discussed.

He points out that if the UT system was easy, other states would want to be a UT, too.

He's also concerned that rules for how the UT government works are still waiting for approval.
