22 Dead in Fez Building Collapse

22 Dead in Fez Building Collapse

In the city of Fez, Morocco, two old buildings fell down early in the morning on December 10.

Sadly, 22 people died, and 16 were hurt.

One building was empty, and the other was having a special celebration called Aqiqah.

These buildings were home to eight families.

The buildings had cracks for a while, but no one fixed them.

Rescue teams are still looking for people who might be trapped.

Fez is a very old city and has had protests recently about poor living conditions.

The government is focusing on big projects, but some people are upset about poverty and bad public services.
