Inside Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput’s Warm Mumbai Home
Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput live in a large home in Mumbai with their two children.
Their home has four bedrooms and is spread across two levels.
A black staircase with unusual shapes is one of its most noticeable features.
The rooms also have paintings, plants, warm colours and playful furniture.
Mira said she and Shahid tried to balance creative ideas with practical needs.
The upstairs has places to watch films, exercise, work and relax.
The family planned the home online over 14 months during the Covid pandemic.
Mira wanted it to feel welcoming, with space for family and guests.
The couple’s approximately 10,000-square-foot, four-bedroom duplex combines art, architecture and everyday comfort.
A bold black geometric staircase serves as a sculptural focal point in the home.
The interiors use whites, creams, warm wood and earthy neutrals, alongside greenery, artwork and distinctive furniture.
The upper level includes a guest suite, home theatre, lounge, office, gym and Shahid’s DJ setup.
The family designed the home online over 14 months during the Covid pandemic.
