Trump Weighs Limited Strikes to Block Iran’s Hormuz Rebuild

The United States is thinking about using small military strikes against Iran near the Strait of Hormuz.

The goal would be to stop Iran from rebuilding weapons and radar systems there.

U.S. officials say those systems could threaten ships, planes and oil tankers.

The U.S. military has spent the past two months clearing mines and weakening Iranian capabilities in the waterway.

This has allowed more ships and oil exports to pass through.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth supports the proposed plan.

President Trump has not yet decided whether to approve it.

Some White House officials had opposed the idea because they feared it could make tensions with Iran worse.
