Vice President Vance calls PM Modi to deepen India-US partnership

Two very important world leaders talked on the phone.

JD Vance is the Vice President of the United States.

Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of India.

They talked about how their countries can be strong partners in trade, defence, technology, energy and important minerals.

The call happened while there was tension in West Asia.

Modi was very happy about the birth of Vance's baby son and sent congratulations to the whole family.

The two countries have had some problems recently, like extra taxes on India's goods and higher fees for visas.

They also disagreed about who helped stop fighting between India and Pakistan last year.

Now both sides are working to fix their friendship and reach a new trade deal.
