PM Modi Honors Goa Liberation Day
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant remembered the brave people who fought for Goa's freedom on Goa Liberation Day.
This day is celebrated every year on December 19 to remember when India's army, in 1961, helped Goa become free from Portuguese control.
The prime minister and the chief minister said these freedom fighters inspire us to make Goa better.
They shared their thoughts on social media and during a state-level parade.
The chief minister also asked industries and citizens to keep Goa clean and beautiful.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant honored Goa Liberation Day on December 19.
They recalled the sacrifices of freedom fighters who fought for Goa's liberation from Portuguese rule in 1961 through 'Operation Vijay'.
The prime minister posted his message on the social media platform X, while the chief minister addressed a state-level parade.
Chief Minister Sawant urged industries and citizens to keep Goa clean and maintain its beauty and serenity.
President Droupadi Murmu also remembered the bravery of those who fought for Goa's liberation.
