Mumbai: NCSC Investigates BMC Worker's Promotion Delay Case
Sunil Yadav, a Mumbai municipal worker with a PhD and six other degrees, hasn't been promoted in nearly two decades.
The NCSC, a group that looks after the rights of certain communities, is now looking into his case.
Yadav started working for the city in 2005 and has been trying to move up in his job.
He says the city isn't following its own rules about promoting people who have studied hard.
He's also worried about the city hiring manual scavengers, which he says is against the law.
Mumbai municipal worker Sunil Yadav, despite seven degrees, including a PhD, has not been promoted in 17 years.
The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) is examining Yadav's case.
