Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel Plant in AP
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu, met with Lakshmi Mittal, the Executive Chairman of Arcelor Mittal, at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
They decided that the foundation stone for a new steel plant in Anakapalli district will be laid after February 15, 2026.
The plant will cost ₹60,000 crore in the first phase.
The Chief Minister wants the project to be completed quickly and has asked officials to get all the necessary permissions and land ready before the foundation stone is laid.
He also asked two ministers to get permissions from the central government.
