CCI Approves Emirates NBD-RBL Bank and Tata Steel-Deals

CCI Approves Emirates NBD-RBL Bank and Tata Steel-Deals

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved two big deals.

First, Emirates NBD, a bank from Dubai, will buy a large part of RBL Bank in India.

This means Emirates NBD will own between 51% and 74% of RBL Bank.

They will do this by buying shares and combining their Indian operations with RBL Bank.

Emirates NBD already has some branches in India and offers many banking services.

The second deal is about Tata Steel, a big steel company, buying a 50.01% stake in Thriveni Pellets Private Limited (TPPL).

TPPL sells iron ore pellets, and its subsidiary, Brahmani River Pellets Ltd, makes and sells these pellets.

Both deals needed the CCI's approval to go forward.
