India's Government Meets Fiscal Deficit Target for FY25
The Indian government managed to keep its spending and borrowing in check, hitting its financial goal for the year.
This goal is called the fiscal deficit, which was kept at 4.8% of the country's total economic output.
Although the actual deficit slightly exceeded initial estimates, the government's overall spending was mostly in line with its plans.
A large amount of money was collected as taxes and other revenue.
The government spent money on various things, including paying interest on its debts and providing subsidies.
Experts believe this is a positive sign for the country's finances.
