River Erosion Sweeps Away Ancient Temple, Collapses Water Tank

River Erosion Sweeps Away Ancient Temple, Collapses Water Tank

Strong river water was wearing away the land in parts of Bareilly.

An old temple in Kapoorpur village was eventually washed into the Ram Ganga River.

Villagers had tried to protect it, but the current was too powerful.

A water tank being built nearby also fell into the Kichha River.

The tank was being built to provide water to local residents.

It collapsed in about four seconds, and nobody was hurt.

Officials are watching the affected areas and carrying out protective work.

Villagers want lasting measures to stop the rivers from damaging homes and farmland.
