Congress Escalates Nationwide Protests Demanding Removal of CEC

Congress organized protests across the country demanding that the Chief Election Commissioner be removed.

Left leaders also joined a march in New Delhi.

The march began at AKG Bhawan and ended at a statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

M. A. Baby, a leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), took part.

The protesters said they wanted to protect people’s right to vote.

They also said democracy needed protection.

Left parties are trying to bring opposition groups together.

They have even worked with Mamata Banerjee, although they were political rivals in West Bengal elections.
