Explosives Found on LDF Candidate's Land
In a small town in Kerala, India, four homemade bombs were found on the farmland of a man named Prakash who is running for a local election.
The bombs were discovered after Prakash's dog accidentally set one off, which sadly killed the dog.
The police think the bombs might have been placed to scare away or kill wild boars that often destroy crops.
Prakash says he didn't know about the bombs and the police are still investigating.
They will also take legal action against whoever is responsible.
Four country-made explosives found on LDF candidate K Prakash's agricultural land in Kumbadaje, Kerala.
Incident discovered after Prakash's pet dog triggered one explosive, resulting in the dog's death.
Police recovered three additional explosives during a search of the area.
Preliminary investigation suggests explosives were placed to kill wild boars, a common crop pest in the region.
Police have recorded Prakash's statement, who claims he was unaware of the explosives, and will register a case under the Explosives Act.
