Vigilance Inquiry Ordered Into Defects at Mundamveli Apartment Complex

Vigilance Inquiry Ordered Into Defects at Mundamveli Apartment Complex

The Mundamveli apartment complex was built to give homes to 77 families.

It was constructed through the LIFE Mission housing program.

The families moved there in 2024.

Soon afterward, residents said toilets leaked and wastewater caused problems.

A septic tank also reportedly overflowed.

Water seeped through some walls and floors.

Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has ordered an investigation into how the building was constructed and supervised.

Officials will check whether mistakes were made by the development authority or the construction society.

The chief minister said the building might need to be demolished if repairs cost too much.
