Samyang Foods Launches Rooftop Solar Project in South Korea
Samyang Foods, a noodle company, teamed up with Peak Energy to install solar panels on the roof of its factory in South Korea.
These panels make clean electricity, providing about 7% of the factory's power.
This helps the company save money and reduce its carbon footprint.
This project is part of a bigger plan to cut down pollution and aligns with South Korea's goal to use more clean energy.
Samyang aims to become carbon neutral by 2050.
The new system will help the company make progress towards carbon neutrality and a healthier planet.
Samyang Foods partnered with Peak Energy for a rooftop solar power system at its Miryang plant.
The system uses over 1,100 PV modules across two facilities.
It generates over 986 MWh of clean electricity annually, covering about 7% of the site's power needs.
The project avoids an estimated 453 tonnes of CO2 emissions yearly.
The project supports Samyang's goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.
