Made-in-India Bionic Arm Restores Independence
A company in India called Makers Hive made a special bionic arm called KalArm.
This arm helps people who have lost their arms do everyday things like cooking, writing, and even riding a bike.
The arm is much cheaper than others because they made it using special technology like 3D printing.
Two people, Vamsi and Azim, who got the arm, now live independently and feel confident.
The company wants to help more people and is even working on a new device for people with Parkinson's disease.
They believe technology should help people live better lives.
KalArm, a bionic prosthetic arm, is developed by Makers Hive in Hyderabad, India.
The arm is affordable, costing Rs 4.5 to Rs 6 lakhs, and is made using AI, robotics, and 3D printing.
Beneficiaries like Vamsi Kolapaka and Azim Patel have regained independence and confidence with KalArm.
Makers Hive aims to expand internationally and is developing 'Sthira' for Parkinson's patients.
The arm has been clinically endorsed by Endolite India Limited and has eight granted patents.
