Kashmiri Pandit Employees Warn of Threats and Possible Exodus

Kashmiri Pandit Employees Warn of Threats and Possible Exodus

A group of Kashmiri Pandit employees says many families still feel unsafe in Kashmir.

They wrote to Home Minister Amit Shah asking for better security.

The group says militants have sent more threatening letters and intimidated people.

Some letters reportedly included names and a vehicle registration number.

These threats remind families of the violence that led to the 1990 exodus.

About 6,000 Pandits returned under a government job and rehabilitation programme.

The employees say they have tried to rebuild their lives for 16 years.

They also say social acceptance has not progressed enough.

The central government presents the region as normal, but the group says fear and tension remain at the local level.
