Nagpur Residents March Against Noise Pollution Before Ganesh Festival

Nagpur Residents March Against Noise Pollution Before Ganesh Festival

People in Nagpur held a quiet march to protest very loud music and noise.

They said the protest is not against any religion or festival.

The organizer said elderly people, patients, pregnant women and young children are worried about the noise.

He also raised concerns about laser lights.

The march took place before the Ganesh festival.

It came one day after Nagpur’s Marbat festival.

The Marbat festival includes large processions and giant effigies.

People say celebrations should continue, but with less noise and fewer harmful effects.

The organizer said restrictions mentioned in a court order will continue in the future.
