Yamaha Launches Electric Scooters AEROX-E and EC-06 in India
Yamaha is entering India's electric scooter market with two new models, the AEROX-E and EC-06.
They also announced plans for 10 new models by 2026, including electric and regular gas-powered bikes.
The company wants to offer premium and high-tech options for riders, not just basic commuter vehicles.
The AEROX-E is sporty with detachable batteries, offering a range of 106 km.
The EC-06 is for everyday use with a longer range of 160 km.
Yamaha plans to sell these through their existing 'Blue Square' shops and will focus on specific cities first.
They aim to build the electric market step-by-step with a focus on performance and design.
