Republicans Rush Funds Into Dozens Of Once-Safe House Races

Republicans Rush Funds Into Dozens Of Once-Safe House Races

Republicans usually expect to win many of these House districts easily.

New private polls suggest some of those races may be closer than expected.

Because of this, Republican groups are spending money in at least 39 additional races.

They are buying advertisements, sending messages, and supporting candidates.

Republicans say they have enough money to protect their seats and help voters turn out.

Democrats say the spending shows Republicans are worried about losing.

Higher gas, energy, and fertilizer costs may be hurting Republican candidates in rural areas.

Democrats need to gain at least four seats to control the House.

The election will take place on November 3.
