Former Pakistan Coach Jason Gillespie Claims PCB Still Owes Him
Jason Gillespie used to coach Pakistan’s Test cricket team.
He says the Pakistan Cricket Board still owes him thousands of dollars.
Gillespie joined the team in April 2024 and resigned in December that year.
He says he did not want to stay quiet just to keep his job or salary.
He believes Aaqib Javed became more powerful and changed what Gillespie was allowed to do.
Gillespie says this made him feel disrespected and undermined.
He also asked why Javed still has so much influence over Pakistan cricket.
The PCB’s reported handling of coaches and unpaid money claims has created more criticism of the board.
Jason Gillespie claims the Pakistan Cricket Board still owes him thousands of dollars nearly two years after his departure.
Gillespie resigned as Pakistan’s Test head coach in December 2024 after joining the role in April 2024.
He says he refused to become a “yes man” to protect his position or salary.
Gillespie alleges Aaqib Javed’s growing influence reduced his coaching responsibilities and left him feeling undermined.
He also questioned the PCB’s continued reliance on Javed and its treatment of former coaches, including Gary Kirsten.
