India-China Resume Border Talks, Seek Political Settlement

India and China have a long-running disagreement about where their border should be.

Ajit Doval from India and Wang Yi from China met to discuss this problem.

They held the 25th round of special talks about the border.

Both sides said they want peace along the border.

They agreed to keep looking for a political solution instead of letting the disagreement worsen.

They also discussed trade, travel and other cooperation between the countries.

The talks came after relations became tense following the 2020 Galwan Valley clash.

The meeting happened before an expected BRICS summit in India.
