Ponguleti directs officials to complete first land re-survey phase
Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy asked government officials to finish the first part of a large land survey by November 15.
The survey checks where land boundaries are and who owns the land.
It will begin in 70 villages in every district.
Another 413 villages without proper maps will also be included.
Officials must use scientific methods and modern surveying equipment.
They must visit the villages and listen to farmers’ problems.
The minister said farmers should not have to repeatedly visit government offices for small issues.
He warned that carelessness and corruption could lead to strict action.
Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy ordered officials to complete the first phase of the comprehensive land re-survey by November 15.
The first phase will cover 70 revenue villages in every district, along with 413 villages lacking proper maps.
The survey aims to resolve disputes involving land boundaries, ownership rights and unrecorded transactions, including Saada Bainamas.
Officials were told to establish village boundaries accurately, use modern survey rovers and coordinate with the Forest Department.
Licensed surveyors will receive ₹60 per acre every 15 days, while the government will not provide monthly salaries.
