PM-JANMAN Scheme Shows Steady Progress Across Sectors
The Indian government's PM-JANMAN scheme is working to help very vulnerable tribal groups (PVTGs) in India.
It started in November 2023 and focuses on providing basic needs like housing, water, and education.
The government has already started building houses, bringing water to villages, and setting up mobile phone towers.
They're also working on schools, healthcare, and helping people get important documents.
The scheme is a big project involving many different government departments, with the goal of improving the lives of these tribal communities across multiple states.
PM-JANMAN scheme aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of 75 PVTG communities.
Over 4.6 lakh houses have been sanctioned, with more than 1.36 lakh completed.
Piped water supply has been provided to 7,406 villages.
Mobile connectivity has reached 2,516 tribal habitations.
The scheme involves 11 interventions by nine central ministries.
